John Kitchen plays music by women composers

In the last few years we have been hearing more and more music in many genres  by women composers—music which has rarely been heard  but which is  of fine quality,  but unjustly neglected and unperformed.   This state of affairs applies also to organ music,  and today’s programme attempts to redress the balance slightly by presenting a range of pieces by Elizabeth Turner, Florence Price, Amy Beach and  Elfrida Andrée, as well as the better-known  Clara Schumann and  Fanny Mendelssohn.
