ESO visit to Kilmarnock

This organ is a triumphant demonstration of what can be achieved when a congregation comes together with a common purpose and faith in the outcome.

In 2023, after a dedicated fund raising campaign by members of the church, led by their priest and organists, the 1903 Harrison and Harrison organ was restored by its original maker.

The project was enthusiastically supported by the congregation both financially and in terms of ongoing commitment; they now regularly attend the recitals that are held, and greatly appreciate the contribution it makes to their worship.

The ESO is joining with the Glasgow Society of Organists on this visit to see and hear what has been achieved.

John will present Handel and Stanley organ concertos, featuring a group of string players from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
